How one perfect decision turned into a beautiful coincidence – hear from Mr. Rama Dutt, a well-renowned educationist.
Mrs. Rama Datt, an educationist, was born in Jammu and was educated in Dehradun. She was my school principal for 10 years of my education in Sanskar School.
She worked for 12 years (1984-1996) at Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya, Jaipur and is the founder Principal of Mahaveer Public School, Jaipur (1996-2003). She was the Principal of Sanskar School, Jaipur, from 2004 and after retirement in May 2017 is associated with the school as an advisor. She is also a member of the Governing Body of various schools of Jaipur including Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School. Not leaving any stone unturned, she is also associated with ‘DISHA’ where she conducts Teacher Training Programmes.
For the past 37 years, she has been in the field of education and has made efforts to make education easy, enjoyable and multidimensional at all levels.

In 2002 she was honoured by The Society of Unaided Private Schools of Rajasthan and also ‘Shree Radhakrishanan Samman’ by Avantika.
She was honored for her work in the field of Education with Sawai Pratap Singh award by City Palace Museum in October 2005.
She was awarded ‘Best Educationist Award’ and Certificate of Excellence by International Institute of Management and Education, New Delhi and ‘National Mahila Rattan Gold Medal Award’ by Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi on 27th May 2012.
She was awarded ‘Eminent Educationist Award’ by National and International Compendium, New Delhi in June 2012. She was awarded ‘Vidya Ratan Gold Medal Award’ by International Institute of Education & Management, New Delhi in July 2012.
She was awarded ‘Bharat Vidya Shiromani Award’ by Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi in July 2012.
Mrs. Rama Datt was awarded ‘The Women Empowerment Award 2015’ by Zee Marudhara and ‘Women Recognition Award 2015’ by Rajasthan Patrika and FM Tadka for her contribution in the field of education.
Under her leadership, Sanskar School, Jaipur received an award for being one of the Best Schools of India adjudged on the basis of School Ranking Survey 2015 and British Council International School Award 2013- 2016 and 2016 – 19.
From a teacher to a principal, she has shaped the lives of many students.
