I went to Portugal in February 2022 for a weekend getaway, and visited Lisbon and Sintra. I walked through Lisbon’s old town in the day and night. It was a memorable experience! If you go to Lisbon, don’t forget to ride tram 28. I have never seen such a cute tram in my life. I also went to Sintra, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is a small town about a 30 minute drive from Lisbon. The whole town is beautiful and perfect. I went to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent, which is a 10-15 minute drive from Sintra center. Lastly, I enjoyed the Pena Palace in Sintra, one of the most colourful palaces I have seen in Europe.
If given a chance, I would go to Lisbon again and take my time to just walk around the city and through the places I missed on this trip. The whole city had a vibe that I really liked.
