Ocean

My songs of despair have found a stage in you,
I was a cosmos about to wither away when you contained me,
your soft skin stitched me in,

your blue eyes; what a sight,
your pink luscious lips; what a grip,
I ooze out between your eyebrows,
I fan out in your smile,

A tree stands tall, proud of its canopy,
ignorant of roots grounding it,

what is poetry without rhythm;
loose hanging words,
what is an island without sea;
a heart without hope,

I drowned in you to find the surface,
as my muse who is an epitome of compassion,
is nothing but deep.
